LE Terminal
Architected and built a real-time market screening terminal that streams roughly 12,000 symbols and live news, and filters it all down to what the client's traders need.

The problem
The client needed to watch the whole market at once, prices and news together, and quickly narrow it down to the handful of names that mattered to them off their proprietary strategy. Off-the-shelf tools either couldn't filter the way their strategy required or spread the work across too many screens.
Approach
Working from a designer's Figma files, I architected and built the system on my own: real-time ingestion of market data and news, a filtering layer driven by the stakeholders' own requirements, and the interface traders use all day.
The hardest part was the stream itself. Real-time data for the whole market is expensive to move and store, so I built dynamic control over the stream's speed and was deliberate about what reaches the database and how often. The client gets real-time data where it matters without paying for it where it doesn't.
On top of that sit custom components instead of a generic screener bent to fit: charting, watchlists, and screens tuned to how the team actually works, so filters can change as their requirements do.
Outcome
The team now works from a single real-time terminal built around their process, with data costs under control as usage grows. Specifics are under NDA, but I'm happy to walk through the architecture in general terms on a call.
